Cookie Policy
Last updated October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how TheLittleCaesarsMenu.com (the “Site”) uses cookies and similar technologies, what each type does, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
The Site shows a cookie consent banner on your first visit. That banner is the consent mechanism for this Site: where the law requires consent, analytics and advertising cookies, including those set by Google Analytics 4, Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity, are only set after you accept them in the banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the banner settings linked in the footer as “Cookie Settings”, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Section 4 explains all of your controls.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, to understand how a site is used, and, on ad-funded sites like this one, to serve and measure advertising. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are “first-party” cookies; cookies set by other companies whose services appear on the page (such as an advertising network) are “third-party” cookies. “Session” cookies are deleted when you close your browser; “persistent” cookies stay until they expire or you delete them. Similar technologies, such as pixels, tags, and local storage, work in comparable ways and are covered by this Policy.
2. The cookies this Site uses
| CATEGORY | PURPOSE | EXAMPLES / PROVIDERS | CONSENT NEEDED? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Make the Site work and stay secure: load balancing, security and abuse prevention, remembering your cookie-consent choice itself. | Site hosting and security providers; consent-management tool | No, the Site cannot function without these |
| Analytics | Count visits and understand which pages, items, and guides readers use, in aggregate, so we can improve content. | Google Analytics 4 | Yes, where required by law (EU/UK) |
| Behaviour analytics | Build heatmaps and session replays so we can see where readers click, tap and scroll, and fix pages that confuse people. Clarity masks text by default, as described in the Privacy Policy. | Microsoft Clarity | Yes, where required by law (EU/UK) |
| Advertising | Serve ads that fund the Site, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, and, with consent or where permitted, personalise ads based on your visits to this and other sites. | Google AdSense and other ad vendors | Yes, where required by law (EU/UK) |
| Functional / preferences | Remember choices you make on the Site, such as display preferences. | The Site itself | Depends on the feature; off where not needed |
Example cookies you may see
| COOKIE | SET BY | WHAT IT DOES | TYPICAL DURATION |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted in aggregate | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps a GA4 session and campaign state for this Site, the * is replaced by the property identifier | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors for short term counting | 24 hours |
| _gads | Google AdSense | Helps serve and measure ads, and supports frequency and fraud controls | 13 months |
| _gac_* | Google AdSense | Stores campaign information so ad clicks can be measured, the * is replaced by the property identifier | 90 days |
| IDE | Google (DoubleClick) | Used by Google to register and report ad views and clicks, and to personalise ads on other sites | 13 months in the EU and UK, up to 2 years elsewhere |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Stores the Clarity user identifier so Clarity can connect page views from the same visitor | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Connects several page views in one visit into a single Clarity session recording | 1 day |
| Consent cookie (name varies by tool) | This Site | Remembers the cookie choices you made in the banner, so we do not ask on every page | Set by the consent tool, commonly 6 to 12 months |
Bing Webmaster Tools, which we use for search verification and search performance reporting, does not set a visitor cookie on this Site through that service, so it has no row in this table. Exact cookie names and lifetimes can change when Google, Microsoft or our consent tool updates its software. The categories in Section 2 are what stay constant, and this page is updated when a category changes.
3. Google advertising cookies in plain language
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this Site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet. This is the main way the Site earns money while staying free to read. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google’s Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads), and opt out of many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu. Ads will still appear; they simply will not be personalised to you.
Microsoft Clarity cookies in plain language
Microsoft Clarity sets the _clck and _clsk cookies listed above so it can build the heatmaps and session replays described in the Privacy Policy. Clarity records how a page is used, including clicks, taps, mouse movement and scrolling, and it masks text by default so content typed into fields is not shown to us in readable form in replays. If you reject analytics cookies in the consent banner, Clarity cookies should not be set for your visit on this Site, and you can also block or delete them in your browser at any time.
4. Your consent and how to control cookies
- Consent banner: Where the law requires it, analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time by reopening the banner settings (footer link: “Cookie Settings”) or by clearing cookies in your browser.
- Browser controls: Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies, including blocking all third-party cookies, in its Settings/Privacy section. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the Site.
- Analytics opt-out: Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics across all sites.
- Advertising opt-outs: The Google, aboutads.info, and youronlinechoices.eu links in Section 3 control personalised ads across many sites, not just this one.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. There is currently no agreed standard for how websites should respond, so, like most websites, this Site does not respond to these signals. The consent and opt-out controls above work regardless of that setting.
6. Cookies set by third-party content
If a page includes embedded third-party content (for example, a video or a social-media embed), that provider may set its own cookies when the content loads or when you interact with it. Those cookies are controlled by the provider’s own cookie and privacy policies, not by this one.
7. Changes to this Policy
If we add or remove a service that sets cookies, we will update the table in Section 2 and the “last updated” date above. Where a change is material, we will also re-request consent through the banner.
